Payroll Administrator

The Payroll Union & Prevailing Wage Specialist serves as the subject matter expert for union payroll, prevailing wage compliance, certified payroll reporting, and labor agreement administration. This role ensures compliance with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage regulations, union benefit fund requirements, and payroll reporting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain union labor agreements, wage rates, classifications, and payroll system configurations.
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for public works and prevailing wage projects.
• Calculate, reconcile, and coordinate union fringe benefit, pension, health & welfare, training, and dues remittances.
• Interpret collective bargaining agreements and provide guidance to supervisors and internal stakeholders.
• Audit payroll records to ensure compliance with union contracts and prevailing wage requirements.
• Support union trust fund audits, labor compliance reviews, and government investigations.
• Maintain accurate records, reporting, and documentation related to union payroll and labor compliance.
• Partner with HR, Operations, Accounting, and leadership to improve processes and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 3+ years of union payroll, prevailing wage, and labor compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, Davis-Bacon Act, FLSA, ERISA, and prevailing wage regulations.
• Experience preparing certified payroll reports (WH-347).
• Proficiency with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms.
• Strong Excel, analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Construction, industrial, or field-services industry experience preferred.
• Spanish speaking ability is a plus.
