HR Specialist

We are looking for a careful and service-focused HR Specialist to join a services organization in Greenville, South Carolina. This contract-to-permanent opportunity will support onboarding activities by coordinating employment documentation, verifying information for accuracy, and maintaining timely entry of employee details into HR and payroll-related systems. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, a high level of discretion, and a commitment to creating a smooth and detail-focused experience for clients and incoming employees.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the onboarding process for newly hired employees by collecting required employment forms and supporting documentation.
• Examine submitted paperwork for completeness, accuracy, and compliance before processing records.
• Enter new employee data into HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping platforms with a high degree of precision.
• Communicate with clients and new employees to resolve missing information and answer onboarding-related questions.
• Track onboarding tasks against established deadlines to ensure records are processed on time.
• Maintain confidential employee information in accordance with company standards and applicable privacy requirements.
• Partner with payroll and HR teams to support accurate employee setup and a seamless handoff into ongoing administration.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting HR administration, onboarding, or employee record management activities.
• Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and comfort entering and maintaining employee data across multiple systems.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and follow through on corrections.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion in a regulated or compliance-driven environment, including HIPAA-related settings.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills when working with clients, employees, and internal teams.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Compensation

$20.90-$24.20 Hourly
