Bookkeeper
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our client's team in Towson, MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily accounting activities, and supporting the overall financial operations of the business. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software.
Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly.
- Process invoices, payments, and deposits.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll records.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
- Maintain organized financial files and supporting documentation.
- Monitor cash flow and resolve account discrepancies.
- Work closely with management and external CPA during month-end and year-end closing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
