Human Resources (HR) Manager

Compensation: $32 to $37 Hourly

A well-established Hawaii-based transportation and logistics company is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to oversee employee relations, talent initiatives, and HR operations. This individual will serve as a trusted resource for employees and management while supporting workforce planning, compliance, and organizational development efforts across multiple business functions.

This position is best suited for a proactive, solutions-oriented professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and can effectively balance strategic workforce initiatives with day-to-day HR responsibilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute workforce strategies that support business goals and operational needs.
  • Lead employee relations activities, including coaching managers, resolving workplace concerns, and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Support talent acquisition efforts by coordinating recruitment activities, conducting interviews, and managing onboarding processes.
  • Administer compensation, benefits, leave programs, and employee support services while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Oversee HR compliance initiatives and maintain alignment with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Manage and improve performance management programs, employee development plans, and succession planning efforts.
  • Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to provide recommendations that improve retention, engagement, and productivity.
  • Maintain employee records, HR systems, and reporting processes while identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies.
  • Coordinate training and professional development programs to support employee growth and organizational success.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and communication of company policies and human resource best practices.



Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of progressive experience in human resources, including experience supporting managers and employees in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and HR compliance practices.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive personnel matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience utilizing HRIS platforms, reporting tools, and employee data management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships with leadership and employees at all levels of an organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.



Compensation

$32.00-$37.00 Hourly
