Project Assistant

We are looking for a Project Assistant to provide hands-on support for a new library setup in Dulles, VA. This temporary role is focused on organizing materials, stocking shelves, and helping prepare the space for daily use. The ideal candidate is comfortable staying active throughout the shift, communicates clearly, and can move efficiently between tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and place books and related materials onto designated shelving according to project guidelines.

• Replenish shelves as needed to keep displays and storage areas orderly and fully stocked.

• Move throughout the library workspace to support setup activities and maintain an efficient workflow.

• Bend, reach, and remain on your feet for extended periods while completing assigned tasks safely.

• Communicate progress, questions, and task updates clearly with supervisors and team members.

• Assist with general project support duties to help prepare the new library for opening.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in a support, stocking, or similar hands-on role.
• Ability to lift and move materials safely during the workday.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to orderly placement of materials.
• Clear verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable mobility and willingness to work in an active, fast-moving environment.

Compensation

$18.00-$18.50 Hourly
