Call Center Specialist
We are looking for a Call Center Specialist to support a busy healthcare contact center in Omaha, Nebraska. This Contract opportunity is expected to begin as a three-month assignment covering a leave of absence, with potential for extension based on business needs. In this role, you will help patients navigate scheduling and service questions while delivering accurate, courteous support in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls while providing attentive, patient-focused service and meeting established performance expectations.
• Coordinate appointments across multiple specialties and care locations by following scheduling guidelines and confirming accurate visit details.
• Gather, verify, and update patient demographic information to help maintain complete and accurate medical records.
• Assess caller concerns, ask clarifying questions, and use available resources to present practical solutions or next steps.
• Protect sensitive health information by following privacy standards and maintaining strict confidentiality in every interaction.
• Work closely with team members and other departments to resolve issues, support patient needs, and ensure smooth service delivery.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities, deadlines, and call volume demands while maintaining attention to detail and service quality.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in a customer service role within a call center environment.• Previous healthcare-related experience of 1 year or more is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to solve problems thoughtfully and efficiently.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Comfortable using customer service software and standard office tools in a phone-based support environment.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and adjust to changing workflows and priorities.
Compensation
