Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations in Columbia, Tennessee. This role will help maintain accurate records across payables, receivables, and cash activity while ensuring account balances are properly reviewed and resolved. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, sound accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage routine transactions with accuracy and consistency.

Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and coordinate timely payment of approved obligations.
• Prepare customer billings, record incoming payments, and monitor outstanding balances to support healthy cash flow.
• Reconcile bank activity and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial records align with actual transactions.
• Perform regular account reconciliations and clear variances by researching supporting details and preparing corrections when needed.
• Maintain accurate accounting entries and supporting schedules for daily and month-end financial activity.
• Assist with tracking and recording cash movements, transfers, and other banking-related transactions.
• Support accounting operations within the SAP S/4HANA environment and help ensure transactions are entered correctly.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice, payment, and account issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Experience handling accounts payable and accounts receivable processes in a detail-focused accounting environment.
• Working knowledge of account reconciliation practices, including identifying and resolving variances.
• Familiarity with bank transaction processing and cash-related accounting activities.
• Proficiency in accounting systems, with exposure to SAP S/4HANA preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Ability to organize multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow established accounting procedures.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal stakeholders and external contacts.

Compensation

$60,000.00-$65,000.00 Yearly
