Workplace Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Observe participant interactions across office layouts, furnishings, technology, and shared work areas during scheduled workshop sessions.
• Record detailed digital notes using established templates, ensuring observations are organized, accurate, and useful for analysis.
• Assess behavioral trends related to movement, multitasking, collaboration, distractions, and responses to changing workplace conditions.
• Identify recurring themes and translate observed behaviors into insights about usability, flow, employee experience, and environmental effectiveness.
• Contribute findings during team discussions to help shape recommendations for workspace design and operational improvements.
• Maintain a discreet and attentive presence during sessions while allowing participants to engage naturally with the environment.
• Adjust quickly to evolving workshop formats, rotating activities, and changes in project approach throughout the pilot.
• Support observation of larger group sessions where participants may move between stations and engage in multiple activities.
Qualifications:
• Experience or academic exposure in psychology, behavioral research, UX research, sociology, anthropology, workplace strategy, or a related field.• Strong note-taking and documentation skills with the ability to capture qualitative observations clearly and consistently.
• Ability to recognize patterns in human behavior and provide thoughtful interpretation beyond basic activity tracking.
• Comfort working in a quiet, observational role without directly leading participant activities.
• Adaptability in dynamic environments where schedules, layouts, and processes may change during the engagement.
• Professionalism and attention to detail when working with groups in active workplace settings.
• Interest in employee experience, workplace culture, and how physical environments influence behavior.
Compensation
