Calendar/Docket Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Oversee docket and calendaring records to ensure all case-related deadlines are entered accurately and updated promptly.
• Examine court documents and filings to determine applicable response dates, hearing schedules, and procedural deadlines.
• Maintain calendars for matters in multiple courts and jurisdictions, tracking important events and required submissions.
• Prepare and circulate deadline summaries and status updates so attorneys and support staff remain informed of upcoming obligations.
• Proactively monitor approaching due dates and send timely reminders to support on-time filings and case progression.
• Work closely with lawyers and legal support teams to confirm scheduling details and keep active matters moving according to plan.
• Review docket entries for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and contribute to stronger calendaring and tracking practices.
• Join routine team discussions to provide updates on upcoming deadlines and address scheduling priorities.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in a docketing, legal secretary, litigation support, or similar legal operations role.• Demonstrated ability to manage court calendars and calculate litigation deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
• Familiarity with state, federal, and administrative court rules is preferred.
• Experience working effectively in a high-volume setting with competing deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and legal calendaring or docket management software.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate across legal teams.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
