Business Analyst Oil and Gas Products

We are seeking a Business Analyst with experience supporting IFS Energy & Resources (formerly P2 Energy Solutions) applications in an upstream oil & gas environment. This role will partner with Finance, Accounting, Land, Operations, and IT teams to improve business processes, support enterprise applications, and deliver technology solutions that drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements for system enhancements and process improvements.
• Support and optimize IFS/P2 applications, including troubleshooting issues and coordinating resolutions.
• Work closely with business users, IT teams, and software vendors on enhancements, upgrades, and support activities.
• Develop and execute test plans, UAT, and release validation.
• Analyze data and perform SQL-based troubleshooting and validation.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and business workflows.

Qualifications:

Requirements

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with IFS Energy & Resources and/or P2 applications such as Excalibur, Qbyte, Merrick, BOLO, or Tobin.
• Strong knowledge of upstream oil & gas processes, including production, accounting, land, and operations.
• Experience with requirements gathering, testing, application support, and vendor management.
• SQL troubleshooting and data analysis experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

• Experience with Oracle Financials or integrated ERP platforms.
• Experience supporting application upgrades, integrations, and cloud initiatives.

Ideal Candidate: A functional Business Analyst with deep IFS/P2 experience who can bridge business and technical teams while supporting critical upstream oil & gas applications.

Compensation

$130,000.00-$160,000.00 Yearly
