Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post accounting entries with complete backup documentation and supporting analysis.
• Perform reconciliations across general ledger accounts by comparing internal balances to external systems and related data sources.
• Review monthly profit and loss results to identify irregularities, trends, and reporting concerns.
• Investigate unexpected account movements and provide clear explanations for variances and fluctuations.
• Support the month-end close process to help ensure financial statements are accurate and completed on schedule.
• Partner with external auditors by organizing requested materials and responding to accounting-related inquiries.
• Provide accounting support and financial insight to leadership as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that strengthen accounting processes, controls, and efficiency.
• Build effective working relationships with supervisors and colleagues to promote collaboration across the team.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.• Hands-on experience with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and monthly balance sheet analysis.
• Ability to analyze financial results, identify discrepancies, and resolve variances with accuracy.
• Experience using NetSuite or a comparable ERP system.
• Proficiency in preparing organized supporting documentation for audits and internal review.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with leadership and cross-functional partners.
Compensation
