Bookkeeper
Responsibilities:
• Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions and maintaining organized accounting records.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments, billing, and cash flow tracking.
• Support payroll administration or coordinate with an outside payroll provider to help ensure accurate employee compensation processing.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and maintain reliable financial data.
• Prepare and update budgets and assist with ongoing financial reporting for business operations.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end close procedures by compiling records, reviewing balances, and helping finalize reports.
• Maintain subcontractor documentation such as insurance certificates, W-9 forms, and other compliance-related records.
• Use accounting software and Excel to track financial activity and support reporting needs for construction projects and company operations.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in bookkeeping or a closely related accounting support role.• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.
• Experience supporting payroll functions or coordinating payroll through a third-party service.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for tracking, organizing, and reviewing financial information.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms; experience with construction-related systems is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Understanding of documentation and compliance tracking in environments involving subcontractors or regulated projects.
Compensation
