Controller
Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and help maintain accurate, timely financial reporting across the organization.
• Review payroll transactions and validate related entries to support accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation.
• Examine customer and vendor contract terms within Salesforce to identify accounting implications and support revenue-related assessments.
• Assist with month-end and period-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entry review, and account analysis.
• Strengthen internal controls and address routine accounting needs that keep the finance function operating effectively.
• Partner with the existing accounting team to balance workload coverage and provide senior-level support where needed.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for auditors and contribute to readiness for upcoming interim audit activities.
• Use NetSuite and other financial systems to monitor transactions, resolve discrepancies, and improve reporting consistency.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience serving in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.• Strong background in SaaS or software-as-a-service business environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of NetSuite and confidence working within accounting systems to manage financial operations.
• Experience reviewing payroll processes and supporting accurate accounting treatment for payroll-related activity.
• Ability to assess contracts for accounting impact, including work performed in systems such as Salesforce.
• Prior audit support experience, ideally including preparation for interim or external audit requests.
• Foundation in public accounting, with Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple accounting priorities effectively.
