Marketing Automation Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Marketing Automation Manager to lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of marketing automation initiatives that support customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue growth.

This role will be responsible for developing automated customer journeys, managing marketing technology platforms, optimizing lead nurturing programs, and delivering data-driven insights to improve campaign performance. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, analytical thinking, and marketing strategy to create personalized customer experiences across multiple channels.


Key Responsibilities

Marketing Automation Strategy

  • Develop and execute marketing automation strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Design and optimize automated customer journeys across the customer lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities to improve lead generation, lead nurturing, customer retention, and customer engagement.
  • Create scalable automation frameworks that support growth initiatives.

Campaign Management

  • Build, launch, and manage automated marketing campaigns across email, SMS, mobile, and digital channels.
  • Develop lead nurturing programs, drip campaigns, and behavioral-triggered communications.
  • Manage audience segmentation and personalization strategies.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimization opportunities.

Customer Journey Optimization

  • Map and improve customer journeys across key touchpoints.
  • Develop lifecycle marketing programs to increase engagement and conversion rates.
  • Implement customer segmentation strategies based on behavior, demographics, and engagement data.
  • Support testing and optimization initiatives to improve customer experience.

Data & Analytics

  • Analyze campaign performance and customer engagement metrics.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs and marketing effectiveness.
  • Measure conversion rates, customer acquisition, customer retention, and return on marketing investment.
  • Conduct A/B testing and implement data-driven recommendations.

Marketing Technology Management

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for marketing automation platforms and CRM integrations.
  • Manage platform configuration, workflows, data integrations, and automation processes.
  • Ensure data quality, system performance, and campaign accuracy.
  • Collaborate with IT, analytics, and digital teams to enhance marketing technology capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing, sales, product, digital, analytics, and customer experience teams.
  • Align automation strategies with broader business and marketing objectives.
  • Provide guidance on automation best practices and campaign execution.
  • Support stakeholder reporting and performance reviews.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing automation, digital marketing, CRM marketing, or lifecycle marketing.
  • Experience building and managing automated customer journeys and nurture campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of lead management, segmentation, personalization, and customer lifecycle marketing.
  • Experience analyzing marketing performance and generating actionable insights.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2C, eCommerce, healthcare, financial services, travel, hospitality, or SaaS environments.
  • Knowledge of customer data platforms and marketing technology ecosystems.
  • Experience with CRM integrations and customer journey orchestration.
  • Familiarity with conversion rate optimization and customer experience strategies.
  • Experience managing multi-channel marketing programs.
