Litigation Paralegal

Litigation Paralegal – Cite Checking Project (Contract)

Robert Half is seeking multiple full-time Litigation Paralegals for an immediate-start, 4-week remote contract project. We are looking for candidates with recent California litigation experience and strong cite-checking skills to support complex litigation matters. Overtime required as trial approaches.

Responsibilities:

• Review and cite-check summary judgment motions, Daubert motions, dispositive motions, appellate briefs, and expert reports
• Verify case citations, reporter information, courts, years, and pincites
• Confirm cited authority supports the propositions referenced
• Ensure compliance with Bluebook citation standards
• Validate statutes, regulations, and case law using Westlaw and/or Lexis
• Compare quotations against original sources for accuracy
• Identify missing, incomplete, or inaccurate citations
• Perform final quality-control review before filing

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Recent California litigation experience required
• Experience supporting complex litigation matters, preferably in federal court
• Strong legal research and cite-checking skills
• Proficiency with Westlaw and/or Lexis
• Experience reviewing substantive motions and briefs
• Background in Big Law, commercial litigation, class actions, securities litigation, IP litigation, or appellate matters preferred
• Immediately available to start

This role is heavily focused on substantive cite checking and legal authority validation. This role will require overtime as trial approaches.
