Online Community Manager/Organic Social

Position Overview

We are seeking a Community Manager / Organic Social Media Manager to join a growing marketing team. This role is ideal for a social media professional who excels at building engaged online communities, fostering meaningful customer interactions, and maximizing the impact of existing marketing efforts.

This is not a content creation role. Creative assets, including photography, graphics, and video, are produced by an internal creative team, and paid media efforts are already established. The focus of this position is community engagement, lead management, organic social strategy, and helping convert social interactions into business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Community Management

  • Manage day-to-day organic social media activity across major social platforms.
  • Monitor, respond to, and engage with comments, direct messages, reviews, and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Build and maintain an authentic online community that reflects the brand voice.
  • Develop positive customer relationships through meaningful online engagement.
  • Monitor online reputation and escalate customer concerns when appropriate.

Lead Engagement & Customer Experience

  • Identify and manage qualified inquiries generated through social media channels.
  • Ensure smooth handoff of leads to appropriate internal teams.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and marketing stakeholders to improve response times and customer experience.
  • Support initiatives that help move prospective customers through the buying journey.

Strategy & Performance Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to increase engagement, audience growth, customer satisfaction, and social media ROI.
  • Develop community engagement initiatives, promotions, contests, and campaigns.
  • Analyze customer feedback and engagement trends to recommend improvements.
  • Stay current on platform updates, emerging trends, and best practices.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Track and report on engagement metrics, audience growth, response times, and conversion performance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on social media analytics.
  • Measure the effectiveness of organic social initiatives and recommend optimization strategies.



Qualifications:

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of experience managing organic social media channels and online communities.
  • Proven experience managing brand social media accounts.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
  • Experience engaging with customers and managing online communities.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to connect social activity to business results.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative team player.

Preferred

  • Experience within automotive, retail, consumer, or multi-location businesses.
  • Experience supporting customer acquisition and lead generation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of customer lifecycle management and lead flow processes.
  • Experience with social media management, monitoring, and reporting tools.
