Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees. The Companys key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.
Responsibilities
Salary Range: $27.08 - 38.23 per hour
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Chain & Inventory Analyst in our West Hartford location to support inventory management, material flow, supplier coordination, and production readiness. In this role, you will ensure materials move efficiently through the supply chain, proactively expedite critical components, maintain inventory accuracy, and collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, excels in communication, and enjoys balancing analytical work with hands-on problem solving. This is an on-site role with limited remote flexibility as needed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Inventory Management & Accuracy
- Perform weekly cycle counts and reconciliation activities to maintain 99%+ inventory accuracy.
- Execute inventory transactions and maintain accurate ERP/MRP records.
- Identify and communicate risks related to material shortages.
- Support optimization of inventory strategies including safety stock, reorder points, and replenishment methods
Expediting & Material Flow Coordination
- Proactively expedite materials from suppliers and internal suppliers to prevent production delays.
- Track open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and accurate acknowledgment from suppliers.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, expedite critical parts, and obtain updated lead time commitments.
- Work with Production, Quality, and Engineering to resolve material availability issues and support on-time delivery of customer orders.
- Maintain visibility to all shortage items and lead daily discussions around material status.
Supplier Communication & Support
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers to track shipments, request status updates, and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Assist with reviewing supplier performance data and identifying trends related to delivery delays or inventory discrepancies.
- Support Procurement with returns to suppliers and paperwork issues at receipt.
Reporting & Analysis
- Create and maintain inventory and expediting reports by gathering, analyzing, and validating data.
- Provide recommendations for improving material flow, inventory health, and supply chain responsiveness.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations to ensure alignment between inventory availability and production requirements.
- Coordinate with receiving, warehouse teams, and quality inspection to ensure smooth movement of materials.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in planning, scheduling or procurement within a manufacturing environment or a relevant degree/certification.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in statistical reporting, forecasting, and understanding financial/operational impacts.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Understanding of supply chain processes, purchase orders, and basic business terms.
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Technical aptitude or experience working with engineered products
- Negotiation or contract management experience
- Aerospace or DFARS compliance experience
- APICS certification
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards
