This position falls under one of Northrop Grumman's Small Business Units, Sonoma Photonics, Inc. and will be located onsite in Santa Rosa, CA.
The Accountant will report to the Business Manager, and be responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures at our Santa Rosa campus. In this role you will be contributing to asset, liability, and capital account entries, cost reporting, and compliance documentation for internal stakeholders, customers, and DCAA/DCMA. .
Essential Functions:
· Provides financial information by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.
· Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
· Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
· Prepare and report cost information to management and customers as well as DCAA/DCMA.
· Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
· Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
· Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
· Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of experience
- Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret numerical data for reporting purposes
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
- Experience with Microsoft suite of products (such as Word, Outlook, and Excel)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DOD security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Active US Secret or Top-Secret Government clearance
- Government reporting/compliance experience
- Familiarity with GAAP, FAR, CAS
- Demonstrated experience prioritizing multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously
- Cost Point experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $57,300.00 - $85,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
