Sr. Financial Analyst

Robert Half Management Resources is partnering with our client, a multi-unit restaurant organization, to identify a hands-on Senior Financial Analyst for a critical engagement supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business partnering initiatives. This consultant will be instrumental during the upcoming budget cycle, leveraging complex Excel-based models and collaborating closely with operational leaders to deliver clear, actionable financial insights.

Responsibilities:

• Lead detailed budgeting and forecast activities by building and maintaining bottom-up financial plans that reflect operational assumptions and business goals.

• Maintain and optimize complex Excel-based financial models and reporting tools.

• Evaluate financial results against plan, identify key performance drivers, and communicate meaningful variance trends to management.

• Develop effective reporting materials for senior leadership and board audiences, translating complex data into concise business updates.

• Extract, organize, and assess information from NetSuite and Power BI to support recurring analysis and decision-making.

• Combine large volumes of operational and financial information into streamlined summaries for executive review.

• Work closely with operations and other business stakeholders to collect inputs, validate assumptions, and provide financial guidance during planning cycles.

• Deliver responsive ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives, performance improvement efforts, and leadership requests.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in FP& A or broader financial analysis roles.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including building and managing large-scale financial models.

• Demonstrated background in budgeting, forecasting, variance review, and KPI-based financial reporting.

• Experience preparing presentation-ready materials for executive leadership and board-level meetings.

• Ability to navigate Power BI reporting and use data outputs to perform meaningful analysis.

• Familiarity with NetSuite reporting is preferred.

• Experience with bottom-up budgeting processes is a bonus.

• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to partner effectively with operational leaders.

• Prior experience in restaurant, hospitality, retail, or another multi-unit environment is highly valued.
