Payroll Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Process end-to-end payroll for a large employee population of more than 500 team members across multiple states.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and review earnings, deductions, and adjustments to ensure timely and correct pay.
• Administer union payroll components, including fringe benefit calculations, dues withholdings, and related reporting requirements.
• Manage payroll activities within ADP Workforce Now and use the system effectively to support daily processing and issue resolution.
• Research payroll tax issues, identify errors in state tax setup or withholding, and implement corrections to restore compliance.
• Reconcile payroll data and partner with internal stakeholders to address discrepancies, exceptions, and employee questions.
• Support audits, reporting requests, and documentation needs by preparing organized and accurate payroll records.
• Help stabilize and improve payroll processes by addressing prior errors and ensuring ongoing compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of payroll experience, including full-cycle payroll processing.• Demonstrated experience managing multi-state payroll in a high-volume environment.
• Hands-on proficiency with ADP Workforce Now is required.
• Background processing payroll for organizations with more than 500 employees.
• Experience handling union-related payroll items such as fringes and dues.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations, including resolving state tax issues and discrepancies.
• High attention to detail with the ability to investigate problems and produce accurate results.
