IT Asset Support Analyst
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the purchase of network hardware, peripherals, and related technology items by working with approved suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities by applying negotiated vendor terms, carrier programs, bulk buying options, and available promotions to purchasing activities.
• Manage outbound logistics for IT assets by preparing, dispatching, and monitoring shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Process incoming equipment promptly, update asset records, and confirm inventory details as items are received.
• Oversee the retirement of obsolete network and server equipment, including collection, decommissioning, and environmentally responsible disposal or recycling.
• Support asset transfers and account consolidation activities associated with mergers or acquisitions while maintaining accurate ownership records.
• Partner with Accounting to investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, intercompany chargebacks, and invoice-related questions.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation covering procurement workflows, asset data updates, offboarding procedures, and decommissioning practices.
• Assist with reporting related to inventory, licensing, financial activity, and other operational metrics as needed.
Qualifications:
• Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent hands-on experience in a related field.• At least 2 years of relevant experience, with strong exposure to procurement, asset management, or desktop/support operations in a corporate environment.
• Experience handling purchasing, invoices, expense tracking, or account support within a large enterprise setting.
• Working knowledge of account administration tasks such as creating, updating, auditing, or removing user accounts and distribution groups.
• Ability to generate and compile reports tied to inventory, licensing, and financial or business operations data.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or a comparable ticketing platform, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
• Strong customer service, analytical, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information in a clear and practical way.
• Ability to document processes thoroughly and follow structured procedures to resolve issues efficiently.
