Compensation: $22 to $24 Hourly

We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to support daily front office operations for an architecture organization in San Diego, California. This Contract position is ideal for someone who brings strong administrative experience, sound judgment, and the ability to stay organized while handling multiple priorities. The role will serve as a key point of contact for visitors and callers while also providing broad office coordination and day-to-day administrative support.

Responsibilities:
• Welcome visitors, manage the reception area, and create a positive first impression for clients, vendors, and team members.
• Handle incoming calls through a multi-line phone system, direct inquiries accurately, and ensure messages are relayed promptly.
• Keep shared spaces such as the kitchen and break area clean, stocked, and well organized to support a functional office environment.
• Coordinate purchases and deliveries for office supplies and vendor-related needs, tracking orders to ensure timely availability.
• Provide administrative assistance with routine office tasks, document support, and general coordination across day-to-day operations.
• Monitor front desk activity and respond to requests with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
• Support smooth office operations by identifying priorities, following through on assignments, and working independently when needed.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in an administrative or receptionist role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage front desk responsibilities in a detail-oriented office setting.
• Comfortable operating a multi-line phone or switchboard system and handling inbound calls efficiently.
• Able to organize work effectively, balance competing tasks, and maintain productivity with minimal supervision.
• Proactive approach to office support with the confidence to take initiative on daily needs.
• Capable of assisting with vendor coordination, office ordering, and general administrative duties.
• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach when interacting with visitors, callers, and internal staff.

Compensation

$22.00-$24.00 Hourly
