Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a Contract position based in Waynesville, Missouri. This role is ideal for someone who is confident managing core accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and working independently in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in bookkeeping functions and a practical command of QuickBooks to help keep financial processes organized and up to date.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions, reviewing entries, and keeping documentation organized.
• Process vendor invoices and payments in a timely manner while monitoring accounts payable activity for accuracy.
• Manage customer billing and follow up on outstanding balances to support efficient accounts receivable operations.
• Reconcile bank statements and internal financial records regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Use QuickBooks to enter, track, and update financial data, ensuring reports reflect current account activity.
• Assist with routine financial reporting by preparing summaries and supporting documentation for management review.
• Monitor account balances and investigate irregularities to help maintain reliable and complete bookkeeping records.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a closely related accounting support role.
• Hands-on experience using QuickBooks for transaction entry, account maintenance, and financial recordkeeping.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Proven ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and consistently.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate, well-structured records.

Compensation

$22.96-$26.59 Hourly
