Human Resource Clerk--Bilingual

Chattanooga, TN 37401, US Temporary
Compensation: $20 to $22 Hourly

We are looking for a bilingual Human Resource Clerk to support overnight HR operations at a food processing and distribution facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This Contract position is ideal for someone who can communicate clearly in English and Spanish while helping employees navigate HR processes during 3rd shift. The role combines administrative accuracy, employee support, and coordination with leadership in a fast-moving workplace. You will play an important part in maintaining organized records, reinforcing workplace policies, and promoting a respectful employee experience.

Responsibilities:
• Manage overnight HR administrative tasks such as onboarding paperwork, benefits documentation, attendance updates, and personnel file maintenance with a high level of accuracy.
• Serve as a communication link between Spanish-speaking and English-speaking employees and management by explaining policies, procedures, and workplace updates clearly.
• Assist team members with HR-related questions and employee concerns, and route more complex matters to the appropriate HR leaders when needed.
• Help reinforce safety expectations and workplace guidelines by sharing information with employees and supporting compliance efforts across the shift.
• Coordinate and support HR activities for 3rd-shift staff, including engagement initiatives, training logistics, and other employee-focused programs.
• Protect sensitive employee information by handling records and conversations with discretion and in accordance with company and legal standards.
• Work closely with HR partners and operational leaders on other shifts to maintain continuity, share updates, and support smooth shift handoffs.
• Prepare reports, track attendance-related information, and update data using systems such as Microsoft Office, ADP, and Kronos as needed.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in both English and Spanish, including verbal and written communication, is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in human resources, administrative support, or a similar role is needed.
• Ability to work 3rd shift hours and adjust to overtime demands when business needs require additional support.
• Working knowledge of HR processes, employee relations practices, and confidentiality standards is expected.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft 365 tools is required for reporting, documentation, and daily communication.
• Experience using payroll or timekeeping platforms such as ADP and Kronos is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced distribution or warehouse environment.
• Prior exposure to bilingual HR support within logistics, warehouse, food processing, or distribution operations is a plus.

Compensation

$20.00-$22.00 Hourly
