Controller

We are looking for an experienced Controller to support a property management organization in Centennial, Colorado. This Contract position is ideal for someone in finance who can bring strong oversight, accuracy, and organization to accounting operations while helping maintain reliable financial records and documentation. The role requires someone who is comfortable managing reporting processes, reviewing financial data, and ensuring important records are properly compiled and maintained.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting activities and help ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and up to date
• Prepare, review, and organize financial documentation to support reporting, audits, and internal controls
• Coordinate the collection, scanning, and maintenance of key business records for efficient retrieval and compliance purposes
• Monitor account activity and reconcile financial information to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
• Support month-end and period-end close processes by compiling documentation and validating supporting details
• Partner with internal stakeholders to improve document management practices and maintain organized financial files
• Assist with reporting needs by gathering information, preparing summaries, and presenting clear financial data
• Maintain strong control over recordkeeping procedures to support operational accuracy and accountability

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or controllership functions
• Previous experience working in a Controller role or in a senior-level accounting capacity
• Background supporting financial operations within property management or a related industry is preferred
• Strong ability to manage document control, document scanning, and records organization
• Experience compiling, reviewing, and maintaining supporting financial documentation
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational effectiveness
• Proficiency with accounting systems and standard business software tools

Compensation

$47.50-$55.00 Hourly
