Full Stack Sr. Software Engineer

We are looking for a senior full stack engineer to join a contract-to-permanent opportunity based in Urbandale, Iowa. In this role, you will build and enhance secure, scalable applications across both frontend and backend environments while partnering closely with other engineers to solve complex technical challenges. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with modern development frameworks, cloud services, automated delivery pipelines, and sound engineering practices that support reliable enterprise systems.

Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain full stack applications with a focus on secure, reliable, and scalable performance.
• Create and improve backend services and web interfaces using technologies such as Node.js, Python, JavaScript, React, .NET, and ASP.NET.
• Develop and support RESTful APIs that enable seamless integration between distributed systems and user-facing platforms.
• Manage and refine CI/CD workflows in Azure DevOps, including build automation, testing, deployment, and release coordination.
• Investigate production and development issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Review code contributions, uphold engineering standards, and encourage consistent development practices across the team.
• Work within Agile delivery models to plan iterations, track progress, and continuously improve team execution.
• Partner with peers and stakeholders to ensure applications meet expectations for security, maintainability, and overall system performance.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience in full stack or application development roles.

• Strong hands-on expertise with Node.js, Python, JavaScript, React, .NET

• Experience building applications and services in cloud environments, especially AWS, including services such as Lambda, S3, ECS, and related deployment tooling.

• Practical knowledge of Azure DevOps for source control, pipeline management, automated delivery, and release processes.

• Solid experience creating and consuming RESTful APIs and working with both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and make sound engineering decisions under pressure.

• Strong understanding of secure coding methods, software development lifecycle practices, and Agile team environments.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to contribute technical guidance during design and delivery.
