Accounts Receivable Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Create and distribute customer invoices with a high level of accuracy and within established timelines.
• Review open receivables regularly, contact customers regarding past-due balances, and support commercial collections efforts.
• Investigate billing questions and work directly with customers to resolve payment or invoice discrepancies.
• Post and apply incoming payments received by check, credit card, and electronic transfer to the appropriate accounts.
• Reconcile accounts receivable records to confirm balances are complete, accurate, and aligned with supporting documentation.
• Prepare aging summaries and related receivables analysis to help monitor account status and payment trends.
• Respond to customer account inquiries professionally and provide clear updates on balances, payments, and outstanding items.
Qualifications:
• Experience supporting accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment posting, and account follow-up.• Working knowledge of commercial collections and customer communication related to overdue balances.
• Hands-on ability to process cash applications and maintain accurate payment records.
• Familiarity with billing functions and reconciling receivable accounts for accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with standard accounting systems and spreadsheet tools used for reporting and tracking receivables.
Compensation
