IT Support Technician - Level 1

IT Field Technician - TRAVEL REQUIRED

Onsite | Buda, TX | Contract

Robert Half is partnering with a company in Buda, TX to identify a hands-on IT Support Technician to provide frontline technical assistance. This contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving everyday hardware and software issues, supporting end users in both office and industrial settings, and staying responsive to operational needs. The role includes on-site troubleshooting, device deployment, and local travel to nearby work locations as needed.

POSITION: FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

LOCATION: BUDA, TX

DURATION: 4 MONTHS

RATE: $30

Responsibilities:

• Set up printers, take direction to go reconfigure printers,
• Mount hardware
• Take a rack and set it up
• Assist with cabling
• Provides onsite support during SD-WAN and enterprise network cutovers,
• Assist with deployment, connectivity validation, troubleshooting, and end-user support
• 100% onsite: needs to be someone will to travel and be onsite to fit our network cutover plan across 60+ sites around the country (majority of sites are located in TX with around 12 sites located outside of TX)

Qualifications:

• Ability to follow established processes, manage assigned tickets, and complete tasks reliably.

• Strong willingness to learn, take direction, and contribute with a positive, service-focused approach.

• Ability to lift, move, and install equipment when the job requires physical handling.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for support visits.

• Experience with associated hardware, cable installation, Dell technologies, or Apple devices is helpful.
