Human Resources Administrator
We are looking for a Human Resources Administrator to join a non-profit organization in Centreville, Michigan on a Long-term Contract basis. This role supports a busy HR function by coordinating candidate communication, organizing personnel documentation, and assisting with day-to-day administrative work across the department. The position is fully onsite and is well suited to someone who communicates confidently, protects sensitive information, and stays organized in a fast-moving environment. 30-32 hours/week.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate interview scheduling by contacting applicants, arranging meeting times, and confirming logistics with internal stakeholders.
• Set up virtual and in-person interviews, including sending video meeting details and reserving appropriate rooms for discussions.
• Respond promptly to candidate inquiries and serve as a detail-oriented point of contact throughout the hiring process.
• Manage document handling tasks such as scanning, organizing, and maintaining HR files with a high level of accuracy.
• Monitor employee review timelines and update tracking spreadsheets for introductory, mid-year, and annual evaluations.
• Provide administrative support to the HR team on a variety of personnel-related tasks and shifting departmental priorities.
• Work with employees and leaders across the organization to support HR processes and maintain effective communication.
• Assist with candidate screening coordination and legal form administration as part of onboarding and personnel support activities.
• Support HR recordkeeping and routine system-related tasks using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Ellucian Colleague, including cloud-based workflow updates when needed.
Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of experience in human resources administration or a closely related administrative support role.• Prior exposure to HR processes such as interview coordination, onboarding support, employee documentation, or background checks.
• Ability to handle confidential employee and organizational information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including comfort speaking directly with candidates and staff.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, especially for document management and spreadsheet tracking.
• Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Comfortable working onsite in Centreville, Michigan and collaborating with people across diverse teams and backgrounds.
Compensation
