Program Eligibility Analyst

We are looking for a Program Eligibility Analyst to provide organized, detail-focused administrative and analytical support in San Luis Obispo, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who works accurately with records and numbers, communicates well with the public, and can manage responsibilities independently while meeting program guidelines. The role supports eligibility and attendance-related processes, requiring strong technical ability and a consistent approach to documentation, reporting, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the timely receipt of attendance documentation and follow up on missing records as needed.

• Examine monthly attendance materials to confirm they meet program procedures and applicable state, federal, and licensing standards.

• Compare electronic attendance information with physical records to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate documentation.

• Compile recurring reports that highlight error patterns, attendance issues, and compliance trends for leadership review.

• Partner with program staff and supervisors to address attendance concerns and improve record accuracy.

• Conduct periodic audits of attendance files and summarize findings related to quality and regulatory compliance.

• Track and organize reviewed attendance documents received from finance and maintain orderly record inventories.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly summaries related to attendance accuracy rates and reporting metrics.

• Communicate directly with staff and members of the public to resolve questions related to eligibility or documentation requirements.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in administrative support, case coordination, eligibility review, or a similar function.
• A combined background of education and experience equivalent to 2 years in administrative or eligibility-related work is preferred to meet the role’s full scope.
• At least 1 year of experience handling eligibility determinations under California Department of Education regulations or in a closely related capacity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace tools, including spreadsheets and document management.
• Strong data entry accuracy and comfort working with numbers, detailed records, and compliance-focused paperwork.
• Ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively with limited day-to-day supervision.
• Clear and detail-oriented communication skills, including the ability to interact courteously with the public and internal teams.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Compensation

$19.00-$22.00 Hourly
