Bookkeeper
Responsibilities:
• Manage routine bookkeeping activities for multiple client accounts, ensuring transactions are properly classified and recorded.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy by updating journals, supporting schedules, and related financial documentation.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including entering bills, issuing invoices, and applying incoming payments.
• Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and other balance sheet items to confirm completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries as needed to support monthly accounting cycles.
• Assist with new client setup by collecting financial records and helping establish accounting files and system configurations.
• Communicate with clients to obtain missing details, resolve transaction questions, and provide timely support on accounting matters.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring data is ready for senior review.
• Use platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Bill.com, and payroll tools while maintaining organized digital records and supporting workflow improvements.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably supporting multiple clients or working in an outsourced services environment.• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Practical experience with cloud-based accounting platforms, including QuickBooks Online; familiarity with Xero and Bill.com is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of general ledger activity, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
• Strong proficiency in bank and credit card reconciliation and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Good Excel skills and confidence using accounting software in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple priorities.
• Clear communication skills and a client-focused approach to handling questions and follow-up requests.
