Plant Controller
Robert Half is working a Plant Controller opportunity near Mason City, Iowa.
Our client is seeking a strategic and analytical financial business partner to support financial and operational performance at the plant level. This role will support plant leadership, translating complex financial data into meaningful insights and helping guide strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of financial expertise, operational understanding, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with plant leadership to support operational performance and business decisions
- Lead plant financial reporting, including variance analysis, performance tracking, and trend identification
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and capacity planning processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Conduct financial analysis for make-versus-buy decisions and other strategic cost initiatives
- Support cost reduction efforts through financial modeling, validation, and reporting of projected versus actual savings
- Analyze financial results to identify risks, opportunities, and key business trends, and communicate findings to leadership
- Assist in identifying accounting, process, and systems-related issues and provide recommendations for improvement
- Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations
- Ability to quickly understand business operations and key performance drivers
- Experience identifying accounting, process, and systems issues and helping implement effective solutions
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and growth-oriented environment
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with leaders across the organization
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to navigate challenging conversations and present to a variety of audiences
- Self-motivated, innovative, and able to drive change
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
Qualifications:
Preferred Background
- Experience in plant, manufacturing, or operations finance
- Background in cost accounting, financial planning, and operational analysis
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance along with 5+ years experience
Compensation
$90,000.00-$105,000.00 YearlyAbout Us
