Data Entry Specialist
We are looking for a detail-focused individual to support underwriting-related administrative and data processing work for a health insurance organization. This Long-term Contract position is based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, with telecommute flexibility, and is ideal for someone who works well in a fast-moving environment while maintaining accuracy and strong service levels. The role requires solid Excel capability, dependable communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while supporting internal business partners.
Responsibilities:
• Manage incoming rating assignments by collecting, organizing, and monitoring work through internal tracking tools.
• Review and update census information in Excel, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and properly formatted.
• Input enrollment and census details into spreadsheet-based models to generate required rating outputs.
• Distribute completed results to internal stakeholders and provide clear follow-up communication as needed.
• Raise questions, issues, or clarification needs promptly with supervisors to keep work moving efficiently.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards while handling a high volume of tasks within required turnaround times.
• Support data entry and administrative underwriting activities with close attention to detail and organization.
• Work additional hours when requested by leadership to help meet business deadlines and workload demand
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.• At least three years of computer-based work experience, including regular use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting data, applying filters, and moving rows or columns without disrupting formatting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook for day-to-day business communication and documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams.
• Proven accuracy in data entry and the ability to stay organized while managing detailed information.
• Ability to perform effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting while meeting service expectations.
• Dependable time management, initiative, and willingness to work overtime when directed.
Compensation
