HR Specialist
We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist to join a growing human resources team in Alabama. This position will focus heavily on recruiting talent across a range of detail-oriented and technical functions within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings strong full-cycle recruiting expertise, a proactive approach to talent sourcing, and the ability to contribute ideas that improve HR team effectiveness. This is a fully on-site opportunity with strong long-term growth potential.
Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end hiring activities for open positions, from identifying talent and coordinating interviews through offer support and candidate follow-up.
• Build pipelines for a variety of roles, with emphasis on mid-level and senior-level hiring needs across technical and business functions.
• Source candidates with experience through LinkedIn and other web-based recruiting channels to maintain a steady flow of talent.
• Partner with HR leadership and hiring teams to prioritize approximately 16 active openings and move searches forward efficiently.
• Recruit for specialized positions such as engineers and chemists, while also providing hiring support for technician roles when needed.
• Assist fellow HR team members by serving as a backup resource across broader recruiting and HR activities.
• Support campus and university recruiting efforts by helping coordinate events and related talent outreach initiatives.
• Engage with employees and leaders across departments to strengthen relationships, understand workforce needs, and improve hiring alignment.
• Recommend practical improvements that help streamline recruiting and HR workflows as the department enhances its processes.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience managing full-cycle recruiting in a corporate or manufacturing environment.• Demonstrated success using LinkedIn and online sourcing tools to identify and attract candidates.
• Ability to recruit for multiple openings at once while maintaining organization and responsiveness.
• Experience working with applicant tracking systems and web-based HR platforms.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and process-related data handling.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Prior recruiting experience for engineering, scientific, or other technical positions is preferred.
• Familiarity with UKG Pro, Cornerstone, SharePoint, or similar HR systems is a plus.
Compensation
