Brand Protection Administrator

Sacramento, CA 95814, US Remote Temporary
Compensation: $40 to $55 Hourly

A growing intellectual property team is seeking a Brand Protection Administrator to support attorneys with the management of domestic and international trademark portfolios, as well as occasional copyright matters. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity where you would partner closely with attorneys and clients to ensure accurate, timely handling of trademark prosecution, maintenance, and portfolio management activities.


Responsibilities

  • Support U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution, including applications, renewals, maintenance filings, assignments, and Madrid Protocol matters
  • Prepare and file trademark-related documents through USPTO, WIPO, and foreign counsel channels
  • Conduct preliminary trademark searches and prepare summaries for attorney review
  • Assist with TTAB oppositions, cancellations, appeals, and UDRP proceedings
  • Monitor and manage trademark deadlines, docket updates, and portfolio maintenance
  • Prepare copyright applications and related filings
  • Coordinate with foreign associates regarding filings, renewals, office actions, and assignments
  • Support corporate transactions, due diligence reviews, and chain-of-title research
  • Handle new client intake, file transfers, and portfolio organization
  • Maintain electronic files and assist with document management and record retention

Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Prior trademark prosecution or trademark paralegal/administrator experience required
  • Experience managing domestic and international trademark portfolios
  • Familiarity with USPTO systems, including Trademark Center, TEAS, and Assignment Center
  • Working knowledge of Madrid Protocol filings and WIPO systems preferred
  • Experience with trademark docketing systems (Foundation IP a plus)
  • Strong research, organizational, and deadline-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • High level of attention to detail and client service orientation

Preferred Experience

  • TTAB proceedings, UDRP matters, and copyright filings
  • Trademark litigation support in state or federal court
  • Corporate due diligence and intellectual property portfolio reviews

Compensation

$40.00-$55.00 Hourly
