Paralegal

An established employment litigation firm in Emeryville is seeking a Paralegal to join its team on a contract-to-hire basis. This position is fully onsite for the first 90 days to support training, collaboration, and integration with the team, with the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote upon successful conversion. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to support attorneys through all phases of employment litigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft, revise, and organize pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Manage document collection, review, and production processes
• Prepare deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial materials
• Track case deadlines, court dates, and litigation calendars
• Conduct legal research and factual investigations
• Maintain and organize case files and litigation databases
• Coordinate state and federal court filings
• Assist with trial preparation, exhibits, and witness materials

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience; employment litigation experience preferred
• Experience supporting matters in California state and federal courts
• Strong knowledge of discovery, document management, and trial preparation
• Excellent organizational and deadline-management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
