GL Accountant

The General Ledger (GL) Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records while supporting the month-end close and financial reporting processes. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, accurate accounting and compliance with GAAP.

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and other general ledger transactions.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and provide documentation for internal and external audits.
• Partner with AP, AR, Payroll, and FP& A teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Identify process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support ad hoc accounting projects.

Qualifications:

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and the month-end close process.
• Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement support.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Sage Intacct, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyze financial data.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with accounting, finance, and business partners.
