Human Resources (HR) Assistant
Responsibilities:
• Support day-to-day human resources activities by preparing documents, updating personnel records, and responding to routine employee and manager inquiries.
• Coordinate onboarding tasks for new employees, including collecting required paperwork, scheduling pre-employment steps, and helping ensure a smooth start date experience.
• Maintain and update information in HRIS platforms with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring employee data remains current and properly documented.
• Assist with background screening processes by tracking progress, following up on outstanding items, and confirming completion before start dates.
• Provide administrative support for employee relations matters by organizing files, documenting interactions, and routing questions to appropriate HR staff.
• Help monitor HR documentation and workflows to support compliance with company policies and internal procedures.
• Generate reports and compile HR-related information for audits, workforce tracking, and leadership review as needed.
Qualifications:
• Experience providing administrative support within a human resources environment.• Working knowledge of HRIS systems and the ability to enter, maintain, and review employee data accurately.
• Familiarity with onboarding coordination, including document collection and pre-employment processing.
• Understanding of employee relations support practices and the importance of confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
• Experience assisting with pre-employment verification administration or similar verification activities.
• Strong organizational skills with careful attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with employees, candidates, and internal stakeholders.
Compensation
