Position Summary

The QC Microbiology Associate II performs microbiological testing and laboratory support activities in compliance with cGMP requirements, company procedures, and quality standards. This role is responsible for sample testing, data documentation, equipment support, and maintaining efficient laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform microbiological testing on finished products, stability samples, and other laboratory samples.
  • Receive, prepare, process, and document samples according to established procedures.
  • Record, review, and compile test results and laboratory reports.
  • Support laboratory equipment calibration, qualification, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Verify test results for compliance with specifications, methods, and procedures.
  • Assist with the development and revision of laboratory procedures and test methods.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety and quality requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D
  • 1+ years of laboratory, microbiology or quality control experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures and work in a regulated environment.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours as needed.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other FDA-regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with cGMP and laboratory quality systems.

Physical & Work Environment

  • Laboratory-based role requiring frequent standing, walking, and use of laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Moderate noise level and exposure to a laboratory environment.
  • Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay Range- $26.00 - $31.00/hour


The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
