We are seeking a strategic, global leader to serve as VP, Facilities, Security & HSE (Global), responsible for overseeing Quantinuum’s worldwide real estate portfolio, facilities operations, physical security, and health, safety & environment (HSE) programs.

This role will ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and scalable infrastructure to support rapid growth, advanced R&D environments, and mission-critical operations. The successful candidate will partner across the business to create safe, secure, and high-performing workplaces while optimizing cost, risk, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Global Facilities & Real Estate

  • Develop and execute global facilities and real estate strategy aligned to business growth and innovation priorities.
  • Oversee site selection, lease negotiations, capital projects, and portfolio optimization.
  • Lead design, construction, and operation of complex environments including laboratories, cleanrooms, and technical facilities.
  • Drive cost efficiency, vendor performance, and long-term asset planning.

Infrastructure & Equipment

  • Ensure reliability and uptime of critical infrastructure systems (e.g., HVAC, power, specialized lab systems)
  • Partner with engineering and R&D teams to support advanced technical equipment and experimental environments.
  • Establish standards for maintenance, lifecycle management, and capacity planning.

Physical & Cyber Security

  • Lead global physical and cyber security strategies, including access control, surveillance, incident response, and risk mitigation.
  • Protect people, intellectual property, and sensitive assets across all sites.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity, legal, and compliance teams on integrated risk management.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Build and maintain a world-class HSE program ensuring compliance with all local, national, and international regulations.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across laboratories, manufacturing, and office environments.
  • Oversee risk assessments, audits, training, and incident management.

Leadership & Governance

  • Lead and scale a high-performing, multidisciplinary global team.
  • Establish policies, KPIs, and governance models for facilities, security, and safety operations.
  • Partner with executive leadership on risk, continuity planning, and enterprise resilience
  • Manage budgets, capital investments, and vendor relationships.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Environmental Science, or related field
  • 20+ years of relevant leadership experience across facilities, security, and/or HSE
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status.
  • Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.

WE VALUE:

  • Proven experience managing global, multi-site operations in highly technical or regulated environments.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or similar)
  • Experience supporting R&D labs, advanced manufacturing, or semiconductor/quantum environments.
  • Strong knowledge of global regulatory frameworks (OSHA, ISO, environmental compliance, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success in scaling infrastructure in high-growth, innovation-driven organizations.
  • Expertise in physical security and enterprise risk management
  • Experience in leading teams across multiple disciplines at the same time

Incentive Eligible – Range posted is inclusive of bonus target

The pay range for this role is $344,000 – $412,500 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.

Travel: ~25-40%
