We’re looking for an experienced communications professional who serves as a trusted advisor to leaders, shapes enterprise-wide communication strategies, and helps drive how RS&H communicates with associates, candidates, communities, and other stakeholders. This role combines hands-on execution with strategic leadership and influence across the business.
In this role, you’ll lead and contribute to a range of high-visibility internal and external communications initiatives, from rolling out firm-wide programs to shaping how we show up as an employer of choice.
What You Can Expect to Do in This Role
- Develop and execute communication strategies that support key firm initiatives and business priorities.
- Create clear, compelling content across multiple channels, translating complex topics into relevant messaging.
- Plan and deliver integrated communication campaigns; develop measures of success, evaluate performance, and identify opportunities to improve.
- Own and evolve internal communication channels and identify new approaches to improve engagement, reach, and effectiveness.
- Serve as a communications advisor to business partners, providing guidance on messaging, audience strategy, communication planning, and delivery approaches.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute firm-wide events around key initiatives and milestones.
- Develop enterprise-level content for external owned channels (website, social media, and other platforms) that strengthens RS&H's employer brand, showcases our impact in communities, and supports talent attraction and retention efforts.
- Coordinate communication calendars to ensure alignment and consistency across initiatives.
- Build strong relationships across the firm and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of progressively responsible communications experience in developing and leading strategic communications initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in advising leaders and stakeholders on messaging, communication planning, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong writing and editing skills across multiple formats and platforms.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and exercise sound judgment in complex situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Adobe products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in internal communications within a professional services or AEC environment.
- Experience supporting employer brand or recruitment marketing initiatives.
- Familiarity with communications analytics and using data to improve performance.
- Experience working across internal and external channels in a coordinated way.
- Experience using AI to amplify communications and productivity.
