Human Resources (HR) Manager
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to support a Contract assignment based in Dayton, Ohio. This role will lead day-to-day HR activities with a strong focus on employee relations, talent acquisition, and core people operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, a steady approach to sensitive workplace matters, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting both office-based and field teams.
Responsibilities:
• Guide managers and employees through workplace concerns, using strong listening, mediation, and conflict resolution skills to support fair outcomes.
• Manage end-to-end hiring activity for approximately 5 to 10 openings per month across corporate positions and field-based care roles, from sourcing through pre-employment steps and onboarding coordination.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to maintain efficient onboarding processes and deliver a smooth transition for new hires.
• Administer HR programs and records while ensuring compliance with applicable policies, employment practices, and legal requirements.
• Support benefits-related processes and employee questions, particularly in areas involving enrollment, changes, and general program administration.
• Coordinate training logistics and learning-related scheduling as needed to help maintain required staff education and development activities.
• Use HR systems and platforms, including Paycom and Relias, to manage employee data, recruitment activity, reporting, and other HR operations.
• Contribute practical, resource-conscious solutions that strengthen HR service delivery in an environment with evolving business needs.

Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in employee relations, including handling sensitive conversations, workplace concerns, and conflict resolution with professionalism and patience.
• Proven background in full-cycle recruiting for a mix of detail-focused and frontline positions.
• Working knowledge of HR administration, onboarding, and employee documentation processes.
• Familiarity with benefits administration and the ability to assist with routine employee benefit matters.
• Experience using HRIS platforms; exposure to Paycom is a plus.
• Solid understanding of HR compliance, employment practices, and applicable HR law.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain attention to detail.
• A calm, resourceful, and adaptable approach; nonprofit or direct care industry experience is helpful but not required.
