Technical Writer
Responsibilities:
• Create and update standard operating procedures, work instructions, policies, technical summaries, and other process-related documents for cross-functional teams.
• Build and refine documentation frameworks by developing templates, writing standards, formatting guidance, and governance practices that support consistency.
• Work closely with subject matter experts to capture specialized information and convert it into straightforward, user-friendly content.
• Oversee controlled document activities, including version tracking, change handling, routing for approvals, and release coordination.
• Review documentation for clarity, accuracy, and usability while driving improvements that raise overall content quality.
• Support quality and operational documentation needs within document management and controlled content environments.
• Organize stakeholder feedback cycles to ensure documents are reviewed, finalized, and issued in a timely manner.
• Develop training resources, instructional content, and user-facing guides that help employees understand processes and requirements.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in documentation practices and knowledge management across the organization.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.• At least 3 years of experience in technical writing, document control, knowledge management, or a closely related area.
• Background supporting documentation within engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, software, medical device, aerospace, semiconductor, or similar technical environments.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly.
• Experience working with document management systems and structured processes for controlled documentation.
• Familiarity with SOP development, departmental procedures, and compiling technical documents from multiple sources.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
Compensation
