Accounts Payable Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Handle the complete accounts payable process, from receiving invoices through final payment and record retention.
• Review and assign proper general ledger or property-related codes to invoices to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Prepare and process vendor payments through ACH transactions, check runs, and other approved payment methods.
• Verify invoice details, resolve discrepancies, and communicate with internal teams or vendors to address payment issues.
• Maintain organized accounts payable files and support accurate documentation for audits and reporting needs.
• Use Excel for routine tracking, reconciliations, and payables-related reporting tasks.
• Work within the company’s property management platform, including Vantaca, to enter, update, and manage payable transactions.
• Assist the team in meeting payment deadlines while supporting a smooth onboarding period and a fast start to the assignment.
Qualifications:
• Experience managing full-cycle accounts payable in a detail-focused business environment.• Ability to code invoices accurately and apply appropriate account classifications.
• Familiarity with processing ACH payments and coordinating scheduled check runs.
• Basic Excel skills, including the ability to organize and review financial information.
• Background in property management, real estate, or a related industry is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle deadlines and a steady volume of transactions.
• Comfort learning new systems quickly; prior exposure to Vantaca is helpful, though training can be provided.
