Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations for a Long-term Contract position based in Sacramento, California. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable handling a high volume of accounting tasks, maintaining accurate records, and working across both payables and receivables activities. The successful candidate will help keep transactions organized, support timely reconciliations, and contribute to smooth financial processing in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Review activity in the online donations platform and verify that incoming transactions are recorded accurately.
• Reconcile corporate credit card activity and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Process employee expense submissions, confirm supporting documentation, and prepare items for payment.
• Record and balance loan payment transactions while ensuring entries are complete and up to date.
• Prepare bank deposits by organizing checks, creating deposit documentation, and completing deposit-related recordkeeping.
• Handle check request administration, including validating details and routing requests for proper processing.
• Enter account payment information into QuickBooks with a strong focus on accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in an accounting support or bookkeeping role.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks for transaction entry and financial record maintenance.
• Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience processing invoices and managing expense reports.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for tracking, reconciliation, and reporting tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines.

Compensation

$23.75-$30.00 Hourly
