Full Charge Bookkeeper
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the complete bookkeeping cycle, ensuring financial records are accurate, current, and organized.
• Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and maintain strong control over accounts payable activities.
• Manage customer invoicing, track incoming payments, and support timely collection efforts for accounts receivable.
• Administer certified payroll tasks and help ensure payroll reporting aligns with applicable wage and compliance requirements.
• Reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items promptly.
• Support construction-related billing functions, including progress billing processes, retainage tracking, and lien waiver documentation when needed.
• Work within accounting and construction management systems such as QuickBooks Desktop and Procore to maintain reliable project and financial data.
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as business needs arise.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in full charge bookkeeping or a closely related accounting role.• Hands-on background managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Practical experience using QuickBooks in an accounting environment.
• Familiarity with bookkeeping practices within the construction industry.
• Understanding of certified payroll processes; knowledge of prevailing wage reporting is an advantage.
• Experience supporting project-based billing activities, including progress billings, retainage, and lien waivers, is preferred.
• Proficiency with Procore or similar construction software is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Compensation
