Collections Specialist

We are looking for a Collections Specialist to support accounts receivable activities for a semiconductor and electronic components manufacturing environment in Lake Mary, Florida. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who communicates confidently with customers, maintains accurate financial records, and handles collection activity with care and attention to detail. The role focuses on resolving outstanding balances, updating account information, and helping keep payment processes organized and efficient.

Responsibilities:
• Contact customers by phone to follow up on past-due balances and encourage timely payment.
• Handle inbound and outbound collection calls in a detail-oriented manner while documenting each interaction clearly.
• Enter payment details, account updates, and collection notes accurately into internal systems.
• Review account status and identify overdue invoices that require immediate action.
• Work with internal teams to address billing questions and support resolution of payment issues.
• Maintain organized records of communication, payment commitments, and outstanding balances.
• Use 10-key skills to process numerical data efficiently and reduce entry errors.
• Monitor assigned accounts regularly and escalate concerns when collection efforts require additional support.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related finance support role.
• Ability to manage both inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and confidence.
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and speed.
• Proficiency with 10-key entry for processing financial information.
• Comfortable working with account records, payment details, and aging information.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for customer interactions and internal coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized while handling multiple accounts.

Compensation

$20.90-$24.20 Hourly
