Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a Contract position based in Lakewood, Washington. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing core accounting tasks with accuracy and consistency while keeping financial records organized and current. The successful candidate will contribute to smooth billing, payment processing, and account balancing through strong bookkeeping expertise and hands-on experience with QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and keeping bookkeeping data up to date
• Process vendor invoices and payments while ensuring accounts payable activity is completed in a timely manner
• Prepare customer invoices, monitor incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances related to accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and support accurate reporting
• Use QuickBooks to manage entries, organize financial information, and assist with routine accounting tasks
• Review accounting data for completeness and accuracy and resolve issues that could affect reporting or cash flow

Qualifications:

• Proven experience performing bookkeeping duties in a detail-focused business environment
• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks for day-to-day accounting and record maintenance
• Working knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice review and payment coordination
• Experience managing accounts receivable, billing activities, and payment tracking
• Ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and investigate discrepancies when needed
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle financial information with care

Compensation

$28.50-$33.00 Hourly
