Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day payable operations for a growing team in Thousand Oaks, California. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for someone who is organized, detail-focused, and comfortable handling invoice review, payment coordination, and record accuracy. The ideal candidate will bring practical accounts payable experience and a dependable approach to managing financial transactions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Review incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval before entering them into the accounting system.
• Assign correct account coding to vendor invoices and expense documents to maintain accurate financial records.
• Process invoices in a timely manner and help ensure payment deadlines are consistently met.
• Prepare and support check run activities, including verifying payment details and resolving discrepancies before release.
• Maintain organized accounts payable files and documentation for tracking, audit support, and internal reference.
• Communicate with vendors and internal team members to address payment questions, missing information, and invoice issues.
• Assist with data entry and transaction processing within NetSuite or a similar accounting platform as needed.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support role.
• Working knowledge of invoice processing, account coding, and payment handling procedures.
• Experience supporting check runs and reviewing payable documents for accuracy.
• Familiarity with NetSuite is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage recurring tasks with a high level of accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills when working with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to stay organized, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a part-time contract environment.

Compensation

$18.21-$21.09 Hourly
