Production Manager

Client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations and lead a team of approximately 30 employees.The role is responsible for driving production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, developing employees, and ensuring on-time delivery while fostering a safe and productive manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is an organized manufacturing leader with strong problem-solving skills, advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise approximately 30 production employees to achieve daily production goals.
• Oversee manufacturing operations to ensure products meet quality, safety, and delivery standards.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to track production metrics, analyze data, and prepare operational reports.
• Maintain detailed production records, meeting notes, action items, and archived documentation.
• Partner with experienced production staff to document manufacturing processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to verify product compliance and improve consistency.
• Resolve shipping and labeling issues to ensure accurate product identification and timely customer deliveries.
• Evaluate employee strengths and assign personnel to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.
• Identify employee training needs and coordinate skill development and cross-training initiatives.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve workflow.
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, quality, and workplace safety.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of production management or manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience supervising manufacturing teams of 20+ employees preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent organizational, documentation, and follow-up abilities.
• Experience developing manufacturing procedures and quality control processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Continuous improvement mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in precision manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, machining, engineering, or metal finishing environments.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
